HILL 'N' DALE FARM was moved to its current location from a site on Winchester Pike, east of Lexington. The Hill 'n' Dale stallions now occupy the extraordinary stud barn built by Franklin Groves for his North Ridge Farm (see Breckinridge Farm). Seattle Slew was moved here early in 2002 from Three Chimneys Farm after a second neck surgery forced his retirement from stud. He died here on May 7, 2002 at the age of 28. --A.P.
