| The Fellow was a top 'chaser by the Selle Francais jumping sire, Italic, and was full brother to the champion French steeplechaser, Al Capone II. The Fellow was a sturdy and consistent jumper who won two consecutive King George VI Chases in 1991-92, the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 1994, and the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris the same year as his King George win. He lost two other Gold Cup runs by a heart-breaking nose. |
