Royal Canopy

Imported into Virginia from Ireland in 1924, the unraced, "robust," Royal Canopy founded a show jumping dynasty through his son, the steeplechaser Bonne Nuit, which included the grey medal-winning Olympic horses Riviera Wonder and Gem Twist. Royal Canopy was also damsire of 1941 American Grand National winner, Speculate.
