Peterski

The bay entire horse Peterski ran timber for several years, placing third in the Middleburg Hunt Cup over 3 1/8 miles, and winning the Maryland Hunt Cup in 1948--he had placed third in it two years earlier. Soon after his Cup win he was retired to stud in Pennsylvania. He was a grandson of imported Wrack, who won well both on the flat and over hurdles before his export to the U.S., where he was several times leading sire of flat racers. Peterski's sire, Petee-Wrack was Wrack's best son, winning the Travers, Suburban Handicap and Metropolitan Handicap, and 9 other races. Peterski's dam was the unraced Sauge, imported from France.
