The horses below Kitty Fisher in capitals and bold face are the produce of Kitty Fisher identified by Fairfax Harrison (Early American Turf Stock, V I) as proven offspring. The sister to Virginia Cade, by inference, is also one of Kitty Fisher's foals. In the American Stud Book, Harrison said, "Bruce [the compiler/editor] adds 3 fillies and 3 colts descended from *Kitty Fisher which he had found attributed to her in traditional pedigrees and which should be deleted from a revised Stud Book. On the test of dates all the pedigrees on which Bruce here relied may be demonstrated to represent that familiar phenomenon, a dropped cross."

Where, o, Where to Put Boston's and Tuckahoe's family line?

This line is still in doubt regarding its source, and may not belong to Kitty Fisher's female line, although it has been considered as such since the mid-nineteenth century. What is known is the testimony published in the American Turf Register (v.2, December 1830) of John Wickham, the owner of the Mare by (imp.) Alderman. There have been several proposal of how the Syme's Wildair mare links to Kitty Fisher, but none are proven.
