*The Godolphin stud book, presumably the correct version, shows that the 1752 filly from Brown Betty was by the Godolphin Brown Barb (and therefore a half-sister to Mirza), and not by the Godolphin Arabian; in the GSB she is listed as by the Godolphin Arabian, as "Sister to Mirza." The usual presumption is that the GSB got her date wrong, and it is the 1751 filly from Brown Betty, who was sold to Sir Charles Sedley in 1752 and who is by the Godolphin Arabian as shown in the Godolphin stud book, that is the dam of the foals listed in the GSB.

The Earl's stud book, removes the important American mare, Selima, from the list of The Large Hartley Mare's (called Sachrissa in the Earl's studbook) progeny; she was not a daughter of this mare, which is how she is shown in the General Stud Book. Selima was foaled in the Earl's stud, but from a mare by Hobgoblin, known as Shireborn; this places her in Family 21, rather than Family 15, where she had been inaccurately lodged for almost 150 years. Since the inaccuracy went undetected and then unnoted, up to and including the Shirai revision of the Bruce Lowe family numbers, she does not have a separate lettered branch designation in Family 21. The corrected dates of her offspring, which are different from the American Stud Book, are from John Hervey, Racing in America V. I.
***Fairfax Harrison, in Early American Turfstock, presented a case for Calypso being the #2 Medley Mare, shown as American Family A4 in Bobinski. This would make her a tail-female ancestress of 1929 Kentucky Derby winner Clyde Van Dusen and 1955 Derby winner Swaps.
