Early in 1999 we established a mailing list at OneList to share information on early thoroughbred horses. The One List service has since undergone a couple of transitions, and is now administered by Yahoo Groups. Membership, which hovers around 150 individuals, is free and open to the public. Its focus is the early foundations of the thoroughbred in England and America. Topics are wide-ranging, but we try to stay centered on historic thoroughbreds, their roots, breeding and influence. If you like digging around in old books and chasing riddles like "What color was the D'Arcy Yellow Turk?" then this list is for you. This is also the place to ask for help in tracking down obscure horses in thoroughbred pedigrees. Many members of this list have subsequently contributed to this site.

To join us, go to YahooGroups. If you are already a member of a YahooGroups mailing list, you need only log-in and join our list by searching for "tbheritage," and selecting the "join" option when the Heritage page pops up. If you are NOT yet an YahooGroup member, first follow the steps for joining YahooGroups (it's free), and then perform a search for "tbheritage" and select the "join" option; you can choose to receive the list in single form format, in digest format, or through web view. Please be sure to keep track of your user i.d. and password, to ensure complete access to all your memberships at YahooGroups.
